Nature Mandalas

We have been to Goa (India) so many times in our life, but this trip was special. We explored
nature so closely this time.
While exploring nature we quickly started collecting the leaves, flowers, twigs etc and made our
own nature mandala. These flowers, leaves and beautiful gifts from nature were always there
but guess we didn’t even notice. It’s only when we consciously started exploring we could see
the beauty in every Leaf and flower.
A mandala in Sanskrit means ‘circle’. It is a configuration of different geometric patterns.
In various traditions it is used as a tool for attention and meditation.
In psychology it is often described as a symbolic representation of the universe.
“I sketched every morning in a notebook a small circular drawing, a mandala, which seemed to
correspond to my inner situation at the time... Only gradually did I discover what the mandala
really is.... the Self, the wholeness of the personality, which if all goes well, is harmonious.” ~
C.G. Jung.
